Hanchey Bamboo Resort grew from a simple idea: create a gentle place above the Mekong where community, nature, and Cambodian hospitality come together. Our team is made up of local staff and young trainees from BSDA, all learning, growing, and welcoming guests with the warmth you only find in the countryside.
Everything here reflects our values — bamboo-built spaces, solar lighting, fresh air, and a calm rhythm shaped by the village below. Staying with us means experiencing a small piece of Steung Trang life, shared with care by the people who call this hill home.

Empowering Youth Through Hospitality Training
Hanchey Bamboo Resort is more than an eco-stay by the Mekong. We work closely with BSDA and the SMILE Institute to train young people in real hospitality skills—service, guest care, kitchen work, maintenance, and tourism support. Every stay helps create hands-on learning for students who are building confidence and pathways for their future.
Our bamboo-built resort is their classroom. Trainees rotate through departments, learn from mentors, and gain experience that supports long-term employment in Cambodia’s growing tourism sector. When you visit us, you become part of their journey.
